Pirates of Penzance

This opera was composed by Arthur Sullivan and the libretto was written by W. S. Gilbert.

In this two act comedic opera, the audience follows the pirates learning about turmoil, capture, and the task of finding love.

This show is very popular, in it's London debut it held 363 performances and in New York the show ran for three months.

In the show the main character is brought into the the workforce by becoming a pirate. During his 21st birthday he comes to learn that he is not actually 21, and must find a way out of his contract.
