Amarelli - COUNT GIO LEONARDO (1600/1600) by AMARELLIMuseimpresa

When we talk about the Amarelli family we refer to a history which began at the beginning of 11th century and continued over the centuries through Crusades, intellectual effort and farming.

Engravings, documents, books, period photographs, but also agricultural equipment, objects of everyday life and wonderful old clothes prove the life of a family that appraises the deep roots of the liquorice plants growing wild on the Ionian coast.

Amarelli - PAST GALLERY (2001/2001) by AMARELLIMuseimpresa

The Amarelli family wanted the realisation of this Museum in order to present an original company experience to people, as well as the history of a unique product belonging to its region.

A long history of work, culture and tradition finds its roots in the land of Calabria, and more precisely in Rossano, Contrada Amarelli. A history that you can now experience first-hand, read, listen and live in the “Giorgio Amarelli” Liquorice Museum.
