The National Hispanic Cultural Center is dedicated to the preservation, promotion, and advancement of Hispanic culture, arts, and humanities. The Center presents over 700 events and creates the opportunity for thousands more through its art museum, library, genealogy center, and educational resources.
The NHCC is a division of the State of New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs and is further supported by the National Hispanic Cultural Center Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization.
The National Hispanic Cultural Center is proud to serve approximately 30,000 school-age students each year by providing motivating and meaningful educational opportunities in humanities and sciences.
There are school day events, family events, community programming, exhibitions, online resources, summer institutes, teacher trainings, and library holdings – all of which seek to engage a wide audience in the richness and complexity of Hispanic cultures.
The focus is on serving as a catalyst and inspiration for youth in entering a deep connection to and exploration of our rich Hispanic cultural identities and the places that have shaped them.
