About Us
Since1882 we have played a vital role in the preservation and improvement of neglected sites and green open spaces across London. We give modest grants and practical assistance to enhance London and improve the quality of life for local communities.
Still Going Strong
Founded by Lord Meath, an amazing Victorian crusader and philanthropist, the MPGA was involved in setting up the National Trust and the National Playing Fields Association. In addition to our Grants and Bulbs for London project, we campaign for green spaces under threat in London.
Approaching our 140th Year
London is one of the greenest cities in the world and we continue to play our part. Through our wide range of grants, we help to improve and beautify the environment for residents and visitors alike. To help with our funding and learn more about us click here.
A Helping Hand
Over the years we have helped thousands of London's green spaces including parks, community gardens, cemeteries, hospices, streetscapes and memorial gardens. We have also supported many of London's leading gardening events, such as London in Bloom, Open Garden Squares Weekend and City Farms.
