As a continuation of the theoretical research begun by Pierre Schaeffer with "À la recherche d’une musique concrète" and "Traité des objets musicaux," the GRM publishes or co-publishes works of theoretical reflections, such as the journal SPECTRES, in collaboration with Shelter Press.

L'Expérimentale (2020) by François BonnetINA grm

The GRM emerged in the heyday of the radio, and since the first "concert of noise" in 1948, it has never stopped broadcasting its music over the airwaves.
These days, the GRM produces the show "L’Expérimentale" on France Musique, on which it presents documentaries, interviews, record selections and recordings of concerts from the Multiphonies seasons.

Every year at the INA, members of the GRM organize professional training courses in sound design using the GRM Tools. In addition, as part of its season of concerts, the INA grm organizes workshops that provide a hands-on introduction to the Acousmonium.

The Master's degree in Music Creation and Sound Arts, designed in partnership with the Université Gustave Eiffel, provides high-level training for specialists in the creation of music, sound, and multimedia: applied music composers (cinema, theater, dance), radio broadcasters, sound set designers, interactive sound designers (video games, installations), and sound design team managers.

 The GRM offers teachers an array of digital resources allowing students to "listen, see, understand" electroacoustic music and sound creation technologies.

Participants are invited to produce musical moments, share them, listen to, and comment on their peers' productions through seven themed sessions on getting started with electroacoustic music.
