The Silk Memory Project
The Silk Memory online portal offers online access to 200 years of Zurich silk design based on over a dozen corporate archives ranging from Abraham to Weisbrod-Zürrer.
In close collaboration with museums, lecturers in textile design and textile professionals Lucerne University develops a database with a best-of selection from the silk archives. The Silk Memory database caters to the needs of both teaching and research and functions as a source of inspiration for contemporary design.
The project is funded by the Lottery Fund of the Canton of Zurich, the Zurich Silk Association and the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts.
