Playful gestures and facial expressions amplify the surreal mix of distortion and fantasy, boosting the fun and different sides of women’s confidence.
The artwork also reveals an interesting process of intaglio technique. Each piece is intricately drawn through etching needle on the bronze plates.
Afterwards, each layer is put through acid to create desired textures on the plates, both deep and shallow cuts, before inking each cut with colors to balance the hues perfectly.
Each large piece is jointed to compose a powerful, extravagant etching work.
Charming Lady (Beauty without Jealousy) signifies the confidence that will instill positivity amongst viewers and inspire them to recognize the beauty of life far beyond the shapes or images of women dictated by societal standards in the past.
