"I emphasise the eco-logical thinking and sustainability in my artworks. I graduated in 2020 from Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design in Budapest and all of my projects were inspired by the connection between nature and the human." - Angéla Bognár

Angéla's 'Natura' is a kind of experimental design process based on cognition and experience.

Angéla's goal is to find a balance between natural elements and human intervention in the creation of objects, using found wood raw materials that basically do not have associated value and aesthetics.

The workflow is also a conscious subordination to the predestined formal and structural contents found in natural elements, which can be interpreted as a personal respect for our natural environment.

Biomorphic elements found in nature often form harmony with the proportions of the human body, providing an opportunity to experimentally rewrite an object of use (shoes) that comes into direct contact with humans in everyday life.

With her footwear collection, Angéla draws attention to a design attitude where the designer respects the shapes ready to be made from nature and adapts to them during design and construction.

"After I graduated Fashion design major in 2020, I stayed at the university where I graduated in arts teacher major in 2021. With every piece of work I focus on eco-logical thinking so leather scraps are used to make dog collars and other smaller goods to minimise waste."

"My custom made biodegradable collars are colourful and high quality, made purely from leather. I make a variety of custom made leather bags too. The shapes, production technology and colours are mainly inspired by nature."

"I also have come back to working with wood and am using Hungary’s ten National Parks as inspiration for my next project. This collection of furniture will debut in January of 2023." - Angéla Bognár
