Voices. A Mosaic of Ukrainian Jewish Life
On February 24th, 2022, Russia began the war against Ukraine, escalating the ongoing conflict since the annexation of Crimea and the occupation of parts of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. It is estimated that in August 2022, there are about 6.3 million refugees from Ukraine across Europe.
Jewish communities in Germany provide support for Jewish refugees. For example, the Jewish community in Augsburg offers material donations, translation services, etc. At the same time, Jewish volunteer agencies in Ukraine provide material and psychological support on site.
