Plaza Walls Mural Expo
Transforming a sketchy alley into a world renowned outdoor gallery through a commitment to public art and placemaking.
"Can we paint the alley?"
It all started with this simple question. Not even the project cofounders Dylan Bradway and Kris Kanaly could have imagined it would have grown into something as large and impactful as it has become.
Luckily the answer was "Yes" and the first Mural Expo began in 2015.

Plaza Walls Mural Expo 2015
The Plaza Walls Mural Expo 2015 was the inaugural event of what would become an annual mural festival in the Plaza District of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Launched by The Oklahoma Mural Syndicate (OMS), the 2015 expo brought together local artists to create large-scale public art throughout the district. The event aimed to beautify the area and provide a platform for local artists to share their work. Though relatively small in its first year, it laid the foundation for what has grown into a major public art initiative.
