Series: The Birth of Olympism, Jordi Alumà I Masvidal, 1988, From the collection of: The Olympic Museum
This is a fascinating piece of Olympic art. On the left you will see Poseidon with the Olympic rings in the center, and a woman on the right with rings coming out of her mouth.
This is one of my favorite pieces of art depicting Poseidon. Where it lacks color to make it pop, the texture, and design makes up for it. You see Poseidon in the bottom surrounded by Mermaids.
Olympic series, sailing, Hans Erni, 1983, From the collection of: The Olympic Museum
This painting of Poseidon us fairly unique. You see Poseidon, and men on a bout on the right. What makes this stand out to me is how all the designs have an aquatic look and feel to them.
DIANA AND POSEIDON CONSOLE DEMETER IN HER SEARCH, 1810 - 1810, From the collection of: Museum of Arts and Sciences
This piece features Greek gods, Poseidon, Demeter, and Diana. One thing I can say that I thing amazes me, is how the moon reflection in the water pops.
This art shows Poseidon and Amphitrite on what seems to be a chariot. Poseidon seems to be sitting on a water horse, and Amphitrite being held up by servants.
This statue is the Head of Poseidon. I love all the detail in this sculpture, especially within the beard. I feel this helps bring out the emotion in the face.
View of the Temple of Poseidon at Sounion from the northeast, Robertson James, 1853/1854, From the collection of: Benaki Museum of Greek Civilization
My final picture is the Temple of Poseidon. You see there is no walls, and it seems to be high on a hill. The pillar designs you will find similar to multiple ancient greek pillars. I assume water remains behind the hill
