I will be choosing paintings of waterfalls. I chose this theme because when I was scanning through the paintings I thought the waterfalls were most interesting to me. My paintings will show that water is dominant to the world.

I think this painting is about how nature really is beautiful. The medium is oil on canvass. I chose this painting because of its beautiful bright colors caught my eyes and I wanted to look at it. Manuel de Arujo was a painter and a romantic writer and he died when he was 73 years old. The overall mood is happy because he used all bright colors.

I think this painting is about how water can cleanse people and animals. The medium is Prints, print, color woodblock print. I chose this painting because I thought it was interesting that they were just standing in the middle of the waterfall cleaning a horse and I wanted to read about it. The style is 19th century or Edo period, the Edo period was from 1603 to 1867. The artist, Katsushika Hokusai was Japanese and died in 1849. Yes, because the horse may stand for strength, because it is standing in the middle of a fast flowing waterfall and not falling over. The overall mood is nervous, because the two men do not want the horse to fall over in the water and get injured.
