    My generation are the products of religious institutions. Religion is in our blood. But you have to be in a S.A. prison where, as in Robben Island, all warders were white & prisoners Black-Coloureds, Indians & to see how man can be cruel to others. 10 The religious organisations – Christians, Moslems, Hindus & members of the Jewish faith – kept our spirits high 11 Dismissed as a reckless, unintelligent opportunist who has no respect for the intelligence of the people, no respect for the traditions of his church & no respect for himself. Tried hard to discourage this approach on ground that it would create a diversion from the contents of his interview.
