Printed transcript of Henry R. Selden's argument in defense of Susan B Anthony for voting in the 1872 election. The trial took place in June 1873 (United States v. Susan B Anthony). Susan B Anthony and protagonists for woman suffrage circulated copies of the transcript to "agitate" others. Susan called the trial the "greatest miscarriage of justice" since the judge wrote his verdict before arguments were heard and excused the jury before deliveratons.
