In June 1932 Peo Manufacturing released Midget Hi-Ball, a smaller, counter top version of its January 1932 pin game Hi-Ball. The Rochester, New York-based manufacturer is best known for creating the 1930 countertop game Little Whirl-Wind. That game proved so popular that other larger manufacturers produced dozens of imitations and variations such as Whiz-Ball, Spiral Golf, and Whirl-O-Ball. Suffering from fierce competition and too many larger companies capitalizing on Peo?s ideas, Peo was out of the coin-operated amusements business by the end of the 1930s.
