Metal film projector with a paper roll printed with the film Bound for Holland (Rumbo a Holanda). Before the popularization of cinema and television, projectors with moving images were used to entertain children. They were a perfect addition for bringing children's story and comic book heroes to life or for creating simple stories that were enjoyed by children and adults alike.
This is an RAI projector by the company Juguetes Payá. Juguetes Payá was founded in 1893 by the traditional tinsmith Rafael Payá Picó, who in 1905 handed it down to his three sons under the name Payá Brothers (Hermanos Payá).
