URBE presents itself as a perennial platform of creation, research, and production that promotes reflections in the fields of art, city, architecture, and urbanism. Its purpose is to grant other meanings to the occupation of the public space, through projects that provide a transversal perspective of the public art, harmonized with the territory and the ways of perceiving the city.
With two exhibitions already held in São Paulo, one in the downtown area and another in the Bom Retiro neighborhood, URBE presented works by Brazilian and foreign artists through site-specific works on the scale of the city, with the aim of attracting collective attention, generating reflections on the right to the city, discussing new forms of occupation of public space, and exercising possibilities of technological interaction between the city and the individual, in addition to mapping and extolling the cultures and movements of the neighborhoods where it acted.
