School Nursery

The Italian Pavilion school program aimed at highlighting the excellences of the Italian education system while meeting other international school realities. Highlighting Italian Pavilion underlying concept of VIVARIUM (nursery); stimulating a cross-curricula education, sharing the contents of the Italian exposition with the national academic communities; giving the opportunity to stress the importance of education for our future; realizing a non-stop lab of experiences on Expo 2015 themes and topics through classes presentations, multimedia, sounds and lights shows involving all the international and Italian realities. Each selected class presented its project/lab according to a daily calendar.

The concept the Power of the Future is expressed by school projects focused on Expo Milan 2015 themes and presented to the visitors animating the exhibition.Each project was selected through the public call "The School for Expo 2015" published by the Ministry of Education (MIUR) in partnership with the Education Office Notice of Lombardy Region. For the visitors of the Italian Palace and the several International Delegations that have been visiting the exhibition, the school project proved to be able to clearly decline the theme "Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life" and to match the "educational experience" with the entrainment component.Each project was presented in Italian, English and sometimes in French and Spanish.The school space also saw the participation of school projects covered by Confindustria programs and the interventions of the Ministry of Health which, through its experts, explained to young people the essential principles of proper nutrition.

Even more, the school program hosted interactive workshops organized by the Food Committee and School of the Ministry of Education, University and Research, which have been followed by other laboratories launched by the sponsors and partners of the Italian Pavilion.Italian and European Schools and educational realities began to work timely on the issues of Expo, under the supervision of the school project of Expo Milano 2015.

All the schools' projects are collected and described in the "Vivaio Scuole" ebook, promoted by Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR) and Italy Pavilion and supported by Bracco Foundation.
