Reconnecting with their roots
The idea for their legendary song 'Venimos del Desierto' ('We Come from the Desert') came from a day in Mexico City's main square. Verdez remembers how they played 'El Sinaloense' but no one reacted with trumpets in the air as they would in Sinaloa, which gave them the impetus to bring their roots to their music.
