Working at Aardman Animation

Director Jac Clinch, Cinematographer Miles Ridgway and Production Designer Declan O’Brien travelled down to Aardman’s Gas Ferry Works studio in Bristol to complete their film The Alan Dimension.

Motion Control and Cinematography

With guidance from Aardman’s Adam Cook, cinematographer Miles Ridgway was instructed in the use of the advanced motion control arm. But even with such top equipment, the students realised that a complicated shot requires a huge amount of preparation.
