The Sky Bridge

The characteristics of Simatai Great Wall-treacherous and intriguing mountains and scenery by Simatai Great WallSimatai Great Wall

The renowned single-sided wall

The Fairy Tower and the Wangjing Tower are facing each other from afar. Between the two towers, a single-sided wall was built along the curved, uneven, and high ridges at one side, which is known as the "Sky Bridge".

Both sides of the wall are scaring and stumbling deep ravines.

Crenels are scattered on the stone walls. The outer side of the wall is extremely dangerous. It is only enough to fit one foot a few dozen centimeters below the stone walls. And on both sides are the cliffs that are nearly a thousand meters above sea level.

One must be careful while crossing the Sky Bridge. In particular, in a place called "Tiger’s Mouth", one who tries to go through must press his body hard against it, with both hands clasping the stone gap of the rock wall and moving forward with tiny steps. One slip would mean falling off from the ten-thousand-feet cliff.
