"SPRING OFFERING

Pau came to visit Skount and wanted to paint.  We’ve been familiarizing ourselves with her
works for a while now.  This was a
match.  It was the first painting in
2014, it was March, rainy and cold.  Pau
concentrated on depicting the German Goddess Frea and Skount – on the Nordic
god of the Tree of Knowledge. The names of the kids are weaved into the hair of
Frea, who looks more like Khadisja with her henna tattoos."

"CHERRY BLOSSOM

ZAS came to us through Stinkfish connection.  Very young, very strong, very focused and
precise, the artist created an amazing body of work:  classic graffiti letters mixed with
incredible skills of photo-realistic character painting.  The 3 dogs are not visible immediately.  This creates an element of surprise and
brings on a smile."

"OLD-FASHIONED WEATHER HOUSE

Bart found us in the newspaper.  He was not only an old resident of Slotermeer
but also a muralist, a painter specializing in 3D murals, but on the
INSIDE.  Idea was great, for it allowed
us to not only look back on time but also talk to the visitors about Dutch
favourite past time: weather watching.
From old-fashioned barometer to accuweather.com."

"BOMBING

“You say that people criticize you for only
concentrating on muralism, now you can tell them that you have graffiti”.  We were puzzled as the painting presented to
us nothing but abstract.  “look closer,
do you see ZAS”?  And yes, suddenly, as
if my magic the letters started coming to live."

"FREEDOM DAY

Free lunch under the pillars of Sloterdijk Bridge.  SAMA took 120 residents 'from across the road' and introduced them to their 'neighbours' from the 'business hood'.

We had live music, break dancing, painting, drumming and a lot of fun talking, getting to know each other.

Participating in City Programs is crucial to local initiatives like ours."

"GROWING TOGETHER

Staalman park is a new territory for SAMA, and of
course as soon as we saw the Bear it was clear that the only legacy artist that
could pull off this job was the famous duo from Amserdam.  The charm, the engagement and the cheerful
colours are the result."

"FREEDOM

When we saw that famous brothers were leaving their
stencils around the city, we contacted the organizers.  Two days later, September 11th to
be precise, the duo arrived at a spot and left us a beautiful surprise.  The artists wanted to talk about the freedom of
wearing headscarf and a current case of Iranian lady due to be executed for
watching volleyball on tv."

"GLORY

The painting was made for the different wall and
with APC crew from Colombia.  However the
festival did not get the funding at the last minute.  We were almost ready to give up when a
sponsor stood out “I love the work, can you make it happen?”.  We had a new wall in a matter of weeks and
the tickets booked for Pez Pescao, who was conveniently opening his “15 years
with friends” in London.  It made sense to engage the local artist who also is known for his photorealistic free-hand style. We invited Danny Recal.  “I would be honoured to work with Pez”. Result is a
classic with a twist.  There are 3
secrets within the painting and the locals absolutely love it."

ARTCHES

Amsterdam Republic was always about Trade and Entrepreneurship.  The average tourist's journey starts and ends at Central Station. Sometimes, it extends to Zaanse Molen, Volenda, Edam and Marken.

But not many people know about the areas outside of the centre, that have equally exciting experience to offer, local guides and reasonably priced souvenirs.

We are still working on bringing ARTCHES to live in 2015.
