Christians in Science and EcoSynagogue

From Jewish to Christian communities, worshippers all over the world are united in their belief that we have a duty to save the planet. The cross-communal Jewish organisation, Ecosynagogue is collaborating across denominations, encouraging Jews to work together towards sustainability.

Ecosynagogue

EcoSynagogue’s primary aim is to engage all Synagogues to register for, and participate in The Environmental Audit. This is a real and tangible response to the huge global task before us. We also offer regular workshops, email support and signposting, website resources, guest speakers and events.

This is cross communal project, supported by our senior communal leaders but is completed on an individual basis, shul by shul appreciating the uniqueness of each worship space in our UK Jewish community.

EcoShabbat (2021-10-04) by EcoSynagogueUnited Nations Climate Change Conference COP26

Ecosynagogue

As part of COP26, we are planning EcoShabbat to highlight our faith's response to the climate crisis. We are encouraging all UK Jewish communities to use EcoShabbat as a way of engaging on this crucial topic and to explore the climate emergency, the Jewish response to climate change, or what can we do either on, or around 5/6 November.

Good Luck! Let's do this together.

All belief groups have a part to play in tackling climate change. Christians in Science integrate faith and scientific thought, aiming to encourage care for the environment.

Christians in Science

Christians in Science is a network of scientists who share a Christian faith. Our aim is to develop and promote biblical Christian views on the nature and scope of science and its interaction with the Christian faith, bringing a biblical Christian perspective on scientific issues into the public arena.

Christians have engaged with the issue of climate change since the early warnings emerged over forty years ago. Prof Sir John Houghton CBE FRS, led efforts to understand the science of climate change, presenting evidence that human activity was responsible and that action was needed. Many members of our organizations are engaged locally, nationally and internationally in climate and environmentally-related activities.

Christians in Science

Through our faith, scientific research and knowledge sharing, we are uniting people with an interest in Christianity or science to be mindful of our environment and work together to tackle the climate emergency.

Religious activists have the power to invite climate action into their congregations, and encourage fellow believers to fight climate change.
