Rehearsals

The preparation was developed between February and June 2022, in Campo do Gerês, in Terras de Bouro, Portugal, with games and exercises from Teatro do Oprimido, by Augusto Boal, and references from community theater.

The premiere took place on June 25, 2022, in the Auditorium of the Museu de Geira, within the Program of the IV Meeting of Arts, Ecology and Ruralities.

Synopsis

In a assembly, the animals become aware that the solution pointed out by humans beings for climate and energy issues in Portugal is the exploration of lithium.

They then begin to present scenarios for this type of open pit mining, in which degradation is inevitable and the benefits are highly questionable.

The Group Rural Vivo

It is a non-profit cultural association, based in Campo do Gerês, in Terras de Bouro, Portugal, created in 2019, with the purpose of strengthening the rural fabric, through cultural dynamization, in projects and events in the areas of Agroecology, Education and Art.

It is made up of a group of artists, educators, farmers, and researchers.

Currently, they develop socio-community projects, through the Arts, with the support of the General Directorate of Arts-Ministry of Culture, the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation & Fundación La Caixa.
