The Exhibition
The Virtual Museum of Lusophony joined the project “100 hours with Saramago”, originally conceived by Regina Brito (Mackenzie Presbyterian University), Luísa Paolinelli (University of Madeira) and Violante Saramago Matos in the context of the centenary of the Portuguese writer.
This project aims to develop diverse activities in several institutions throughout 2022. In this context, the Virtual Museum of Lusophony participated in the diffusion of activities and proposed the creation of a series of alternative covers of 9 books written by José Saramago.
This work was done by the collaborators Tiago Vieira da Silva and Rute Cardoso, and was also presented in the magazine Fuori Asse.

Tiago Vieira da Silva currently attends the PhD in Communication Sciences at the University of Minho in Braga, Portugal, with the dissertation “The debate of national identity from the April revolution to the present, through Portuguese cinema”. He is a researcher at the Center for Communication and Society Studies and his areas of interest are film studies, Portuguese-language literature, cultural studies and semiotics. He is also a collaborator of the Virtual Museum of Lusophony since 2019.
Ana Rute Cunha Cardoso (Rute Cardoso), has a degree in Communication and Multimedia from the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (2019). More recently (May 2022) she became a Master in Communication Sciences, in the professional area of Advertising and Public Relations, at the University of Minho, after a 6-month internship at the laboratory agency CreateLab. Since December 2021, she has held the position of Communication Designer at the Virtual Museum of Lusophony.
