A Rocha UK is an international family of Christian nature conservationists. We’re passionate about caring for nature; serving a God who loves all his creation. Regenerating nature could be a solution to climate change. We educate ourselves, our supporters and UK churches about the links between climate and nature, encouraging action and laying a foundation for joined-up work by Christians on climate in the critical decade ahead.

A Unique Conservation Network
Over the last few years we have developed a network of Christian organisations with land, supporting them to manage their land for nature and, increasingly, climate. There are 23 members of our Partners in Action network, and interest has soared in the approach to COP26.

Our two nature reserves contribute to this. They double as nature-rich spaces for the local community and demonstration sites to inspire other groups. Supporters helped transform a muddy hole into a new wildlife pond at A Rocha UK’s urban nature reserve Wolf Fields.

The Importance of Churches
Our Eco Church programme is a learning community of churches open to all denominations with resources and awards for progress. A key focus is on cutting carbon and managing church land for nature. In September 2021 we registered our 4000th Eco Church, aiming for 6,000 by 2025.

Mobilising Individuals and Families
Our Wild Christian community has grown rapidly through the pandemic and in the run up to COP26 with more than 4,000 individuals and families. Wild Christian facilitates them to enjoy, nurture and defend nature at home, and to campaign for wider change on nature and climate.

Strength in Unity
The climate crisis demands collaboration at many levels and we believe that Christians should model this. In 2021 we collaborated with others on Climate Sunday, which has inspired and facilitated more than 2000 churches to take action on climate change, many for the first time
