Self-learning

The Drawing workshops allow those not used to drawing to embark on a new adventure and discover unexplored capabilities, getting off to a courageous start to their learning journey, while those who already draw can experience sharing and improvement. Participants sometimes pick up unfinished drawings from previous editions and continue just where they stopped and often remake drawings at home based on sketches created in the workshop.

Drawing is creating relationships

An atmosphere of familiarity was created among the participants, allowing each other to share opinions and results. The collaborative process, exchanges and reflections result in development, generating learning from personal processes and self-realization.

The Drawing Workshops are a self-learning drawing research project coordinated by Professor Andre Beltrão from the Professional Master's Degree Program in Creative Economy Management at ESPM-Rio. It aims to contribute to the multiplication of similar initiatives by occupying the cultural facilities of the cities and allowing the recovery of creativity in ordinary people so that they attain self-fulfillment and self-esteem, which may bring social consequences and development for the participants and their communities.
