Emmanuel Nassar: 81 – 18 was opened to the public between April 14 and July 2 of 2018, at Estação Pinacoteca de São Paulo. It was, to date, the largest and most comprehensive retrospective exhibition of the artist's career.
Curated by Pedro Nery, Emmanuel Nassar: 81-18 had almost a hundred works on display; some are part of the collection of the Pinacoteca de São Paulo, and the vast majority belong to institutional and private collectors.

With the support of the Pinacoteca de São Paulo in June 2018, the director proposed to the artist that he toured her through the exhibition, while talking about his life and work. The result was a mini-documentary. “Emmanuel Nassar: 81 – 18, a video tour" is a co-production between CECS and Mackenzie University of São Paulo, the latter having provided the human, technical and logistical resources for the shooting of the film.

In 2020, through the Summer School in Communication and Culture for Development, held by CECS and coordinated by Lurdes Macedo, the students Margarida Andresen and Beatriz Araújo worked on the film editing.
