Suanluang Zone: A mix of local culture and the business community

The End of TV (2019) by AsinFaculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Chulalongkorn University

At Suanluang Zone, we start from the corner of "Somtum Jea Aoi Red Table" Restaurant, opposite the Chulalongkorn University Centenary Park. Here, we see "The End of TV”, an art work by artist Asin who has integrated chicken elements as part of his work to reference the restaurant below.

Just a few steps around the cornor from "The End of TV" you will find another giant painting, which occupies a few blocks of building on the second floor. This art work by artist Mauy, is titled "Generation"

Across the street from "Generation", you will find the old Chinese shrine, and the compound building called the "Dragon Town". The beautiful Chinese angel is a work of artist Oba Yong artist, titled "ORIGINAL (A NEW BEGINNING) Substitute from Community"

Dragon (2019) by Pakorn BNAFaculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Chulalongkorn University

After walking through the "Dragon Town" to the left of the Chinese Angel, towards Chulalongkorn 16 Road, you will find a gigantic "Dragon" painting by artist "Pakorn BNA" on the 6 storey building wall.

Goal ! (2019) by Arnon NeiysoongnoenFaculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Chulalongkorn University

Continue walking towards Suanluang Square and cross to Soi Chulalongkorn 5 Road, you will see the art work of artist Arnon. Titled "Goal”, the picture of the football player is inspired by the area known for selling sports gear and the nearby the National Stadium.

Next to "Goal!", there is "Swaying" featuring a unique style of painting by artist Mamacup711. Both of them drew inspiration from the area that has a long history of sports trading and manufacturers.
