The Iny people’s Big House festival
Before dawn, the jyrè are brought to the men's grounds, where they are presented to the visitors' worsỹ ghosts, who playfully harass the boys. The jyrè’s brotyrè - their sympathetic agents - sit around them, in support and endurance of the worsỹ's harassment, until the daybreak.

At dawn, the black Ijasó Lateni arrive to greet the jyrè and to bring them good auspices of a healthy and prosperous life.

To help them grow strong and tall, the ijasó Lateni step on the jyrè's feet as they lift them up, stretching them upwards.

On the second day the jyrè leave the Great House, carried by their brotyrè, in order to receive a herbal body wash given by the Iolò Wajurema.
