Jam Sessions: Induction All Access

Carlos Santana led the way for The Edge, Johnny Cash and John Fogerty during the 1992 superjam. Mazur recalls the magic onstage when these celebrated guitarists made room for one another inside the same song.

Neil Young led a dramatic performance of Bob Dylan’s classic “All Along the Watchtower,” which resulted in one of the all-time great guitar duels between Young, The Edge, Keith Richards and Jimmy Page.

The Rolling Stones were inducted in 1989. During their first UK tour in 1963, they supported the headliner Little Richard.

The Talking Heads were inducted into the Hall of Fame by Anthony Keidis of Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Jett, Mellencamp and Fogerty performed “Glad All Over” in honor of the Dave Clark Five who were inducted that night.

Taylor and Clapton were both inducted that evening.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers and Guns N' Roses were inducted in 2012 in Cleveland. Keidis and Slash joined the all-star jam session.

Seeger was inducted in 1996. 1989 inductee Wonder joined Seeger, Arlo Guthrie, David Byrne and others in the jam performance of "Goodnight, Irene."

Bob Dylan and the Beatles were among the inductees in 1988. Little Richard was inducted as part of the Rock Hall’s inaugural class in 1986.

These artists performed “I Love L.A.” with new inductee Randy Newman.
