Tokyo National Museum
Considered the oldest national museum in Japan, the Tokyo National Museum houses a vast collection of artworks and cultural objects from across Asia. Located on the edge of Ueno Park in the center of the city, the museum is surrounded by numerous cultural sights and historic monuments.

The museum itself is made up of a number of beautiful buildings, each housing a collection with a unique theme. These structures include the Honkan, which holds the Japanese Gallery, the Toyokan, which holds the Asian Gallery, and the Gallery of Horyuji Treasures, which holds the important relics originally preserved at Nara's Horyu Temple.

Niterói Contemporary Art Museum
Designed by acclaimed Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer, the Niterói Contemporary Art Museum is located in the city of Niterói, which sits on the Guanabara Bay, opposite Rio de Janeiro. Completed in 1996, the gallery has an instantly recognizable saucer design. Incredibly elegant, it offers sweeping views of Rio and the surrounding watery landscape.

Thanks to its elegant silhouette and prominent position overlooking the bay, the Niterói Contemporary Art Museum has become a prominent landmark and popular tourist attraction. Often likened to a UFO, the building is a fantastic monument to art, architecture and design.
