DJ Obi (real name Obi Ajuonuma) is a Nigerian DJ and musical tastemaker. He began his career hosting the Open House Party radio show on Ray Power FM, and has since performed with Africa’s biggest stars. Obi continues to be one of Nigeria's most popular DJs.
In 2016 Obi set a world record for performing the world’s longest ever DJ set at 240 hours. His work as garnered Obi a Future Awards Africa Prize for Creative Professional.

DJ Obi runs the live show at Homecoming Festival, where Nigerian and international artists perform back-to-back. The show is run like a sonic playlist; rather than taking a traditional approach with a 'headline' hierarchy, Homecoming and DJ Obi organise the show based on complimentary sounds, performance styles and crowd pleasers.

What do festivals like Homecoming bring to Lagos culture?
It’s always awesome to see the [Homecoming] line up and get to see these acts perform. A lot of these guys, they’re huge sensations online where you only get to hear their music but now you actually get to see the performance side to their art.

Founded in 2017, Homecoming is an annual festival of cultural exchange between Africa and the world. Held in Lagos, Nigeria, Homecoming puts a spotlight on African talent – from its up and comers to its biggest stars in Music, Fashion, Art, and Culture.
