Les Arts Open Doors Day

Once a year, Les Arts welcomes everyone for their free Portes Obertes (Open Doors) event!

It is an initiative that allows the public to visit and discover emblematic places in the building, such as the Main Hall, the Auditorium or open-air spaces such as the Balcó de la Mar or the Terrasses de les Palmeres gardens.

The day will also see a series of activities designed to promote Les Arts from within, from its social and educational projects to its programme for the new season.

Colored lines guided visitors through Les Arts' 2021 Open Doors event, creating a unique "path of emotions" throughout the building.

In addition to its own productions, the exhibition in the "Los Toros" hall featured the costumes of the great operatic productions represented at Les Arts, such as Carmen, Aida and A Midsummer Night's Dream.

Les Arts' Centre de perfeccionament students enriched the Open Doors Day with a recital featuring opera, zarzuela, and songs from their home countries. 

The day concluded with a symphonic concert by the Orquestra de la Comunitat Valenciana, featuring James Gaffigan's debut as Les Arts' musical director. The program included works by Copland, Mozart, Prokofiev, and Stravinsky.
