Clue 1

This is what the writer Santiago Rusiñol wrote about this place: "… where the Sun stays longer than in any other place and even Mrs. Moon walks more slowly, afflicted with laziness."

Clue 2

According to Strabo, a Greek geographer and historian, the first settlers were the Rhodians, whose warriors were renowned for their use of the slingshot.

Clue 3

Its capital city is home to a cathedral dedicated to the Virgin Mary, the construction of which began in the 13th century. It has the largest rose window in the Gothic world, and its sepulchers, installed in around 1950, are the work of the sculptor Frederic Marés.

Clue 4

On certain days, you can see a spectacular natural light show inside it. This happens twice a year, on February 2 (Candlemas) and November 11 (St. Martin's Day).

Clue 5: There are traditional feudal villages here

Although many of them have now either disappeared or been completely transformed, there were still a number of traditional feudal villages here in the mid-20th century, giving this region its own unique style that was much loved by visitors.

It's known for its seaside spas, sheltered coves, limestone mountains, and Roman and Morisco ruins. This region spans 1,405 square miles (3,640 sq. km).
