Resting in the Sun (2020-01-01) by Crystal BerryArtPop Street Gallery
"I took this picture while on vacation and watched this bird sitting on his perch taking a mid afternoon break. I think that sometimes you have to make yourself take a break and just experience the world around you." -Crystal Berry
Cycle of Thought (2020-01-01) by Geinene CarsonArtPop Street Gallery
"We have the power to reclaim our thought life by practicing the simple, yet profound, discipline of being aware of even the smallest of notions and its influence to either lead us into a cycle of chaos and despair or life-giving peace and hope. May we be encouraged to pursue transformation by adopting fruitful ways of thinking and living." -Geinene Carson
Plancheite (2020-01-01) by Ashley ChambersArtPop Street Gallery
"This piece is a part of my Rocks and minerals series. This piece is a hyper-focused painting of the rock, plancheite. My goal with this series was to target aspects of nature with vivid colors and portray them in a way that seems abstract. Despite having the appearance of abstract art, this piece is quite precise and detailed to accurately represent the rock it is paired with." Ashley Chambers
Twisted Nest Ring (2020-01-01) by Abigayle ChristensenArtPop Street Gallery
"A twisted sterling silver ring with three brass nuggets soldered together inside of the dome. Inside of the half circle sitting on top of the ring are three nuggets placed together. Those nuggets are representing both myself and my two older brothers. This ring was created as a gift for my mom and whenever she wears it she reminds me how much it means to her. This ring was inspired by my family and created out of love. I loved making this ring for my mom because it puts a smile on her face whenever she wears it! She feels so special to be able to wear a ring that shows love towards her and is able to symbolize her three children." Abigayle Christensen
Cherry Blossom Lane (2020-01-01) by Ann CockerillArtPop Street Gallery
"While exhibiting in an arts festival in Macon Ga., early in the morning, I took a walk down the streets where the Cherry Blossoms were falling like snow. I loved the cool, long shadows from the sun coming up as well as the warm splashes of sunlight on the road. The air was clean and invigorating. There is an antebellum home hidden behind the pink bow on the lamp post. One of those perfect moments, created by God." Ann Cockerill
Koi Generations (2020-01-01) by Carol CollinsArtPop Street Gallery

Two birds in a bush (2020-01-01) by Karen CoxArtPop Street Gallery
"I was walking through Anacapa Island in California, photographing these beautiful Endangered species, they were always looking at me and felt very welcome in their environment as well as I respected them, it was very inspiring to see them free and in peace in this island that they call their home.
The meaning is: Peace, Freedom & love, they might look the same but they are different.
The seagulls are an endangered species, they can live up to 25 years, Colonies of nesting pairs establish a territory on an isolated island or on rocky cliffs and build nests on the ground. The female lays three eggs, and the male and female take turns incubating them for a month." Karen Cox
Fashionista Destination: Atlanta (2020-01-01) by Ndirika EkumaArtPop Street Gallery
"The illustration is a tribute to the city of Atlanta, Georgia as a southern fashion hub. The city is also a cultural and creative hotspot for artists, musicians, designers and divers enthusiasts. Its “big-city” energy and amenities are complemented by upscale shopping destinations and fashion-forward boutiques. This piece was created to showcase Atlanta as a fashion aficionado’s haven, and a vibrant, upbeat destination with a rich story. Thus, the piece is titled Fashionista Destination: Atlanta." Ndirika Ekuma-Nkama
Clementines or peaches (2020-01-01) by Maureen EngleArtPop Street Gallery
"I understand that there are no rules in art. However, I had fun breaking from convention with this piece by using four subjects of the same size all in a row like soldiers. But then, not like soldiers. I wanted them to be a bit 'sketchy' and dance along a long and narrow rectangular shaped canvas. I initially painted the canvas orange and then, using a palette knife, created clementines - or peaches! - you decide! I moved up to Georgia from Florida and am fond of both fruits." -Maureen Engle

Spring (2020-01-01) by Veronique IvanovicArtPop Street Gallery
"Being born in France where recycling is a second nature, I naturally saw the potential for a great piece of art, in the veins of this piece of wood, I was given to at the Home Depot in Atlanta. Living in a condo, and not being able to grow flowers, I naturally was pulled into creating my own garden with paint" -Veronique Ivanovic

The Beauty of Fall (2020-01-01) by Cristina MontesinosArtPop Street Gallery
"The Beauty of Fall features nature’s fall colors and textures — trees, ground, landscape and sky — while exploring the veiling and unveiling of the depths of the forest as seasons change.
This work was inspired by a patch of spectacularly colorful fall leaves lying in the backyard. The colors were so striking I knew I had to paint something with them. So, when inspiration hit, I painted with abandon, adopting experimental approaches. What resulted was the birthing of a whole new style and geometric series.
As a painter I seek to capture the mystery and healing power of the natural world. My work is inspired by nature in one way or another, whether it's simply a color palette, a texture, shadows, reflections, flowers, leaves, tiny details, a feeling or an experience. When I’m in nature I feel calm, peaceful, hopeful and renewed. It’s these feelings that I want to explore in my work.
My paintings tend to unfold on their own, as I paint mindfully and follow where the strokes and colors seem to lead me, listening to my intuition, highlighting the interesting and building on what emerges." Christina Montesinos
Sunflower Eyes (2020-01-01) by Janet NewtonArtPop Street Gallery
"My friend, Karen Cox (also in ArtPOP Street Gallery) is an actress, photographer, daughter from another mother and a member of Sweetwater Camera Club where I have been the President for 6 years. I have taken numerous pictures of Karen over the past few years. When we get together we become two women with amazing creative ideas that we want to photograph. When we get "the shot" we end up crying, laughing, high-fiving, singing and dancing like no one is watching, but, we don't care if they do-lol. This image happened during the summer when the sunflowers were blooming. I came across an abundance of flowers that I could wrap around her. Then for the final touch...one beautiful sunflower in front of her eye. It's the Creativity that I try to master. Not just a picture but beautiful ART." -Janet Newton

Delta Tigers- Stay Strong (2020-01-01) by Anthony RagunasArtPop Street Gallery
"I really think it’s important to show support to the great folks at Delta right now in any way possible as they are one of the largest supporters of the arts in Atlanta.
As some background to the painting it is based on the Curtiss P-40b flown by the Flying Tigers prior to WWII. The Flying Tigers were volunteer US airmen who went over to China to help China defend itself against the Japanese. They flew US planes with Chinese livery.
I updated the plane with the US flag and the date Delta was founded on the tail, I changed the Chinese characters to the symbol for success/victory as well as added the pop symbol for peace/victory. Hence “Delta Tigers - Stay Strong”." -Anthony Ragunas
Denver Mountains (2020-01-01) by Courtney ScottArtPop Street Gallery

Carrolton Depot (2020-01-01) by Laura SmithArtPop Street Gallery
"The first thing I do when seeking painting material in a new, or familiar, location is head straight for the alleys behind the buildings or the train tracks. That’s where the best material always hides! If I see a strong light and shadow pattern, I’m hooked. I pass the Bradley St. Depot in Carrollton almost daily, and this time the perfect shadows fell while a train happened to be parked half in them.
One day, after finishing a painting, I had a good bit of paint left on my palette and did not want to waste it. I had about an hour before the school bus would pull up, and challenged myself to paint the Depot with what was left on the palette, paper towels, and a palette knife." Laura Smith
It'll be Okay (2020-01-01) by Elaine StephensonArtPop Street Gallery
"I created this art specifically for ArtPop because I thought, what do people really need to see right now? The answer to me, was hope. I illustrated this positive phrase to lift people's spirits as the pandemic stretched on and to brighten someone's day. I added blue anemones to the wording to enhance the beauty with flowers, which almost everyone loves." -Elaine Stephenson
Unbound (2020-01-01) by Liz StubbsArtPop Street Gallery
"It is a photograph with digital play and it, for me, evokes a sense of self-liberation, stepping away from stories and limits that no longer fit us or have held us back from our truest dreams. The form in this image is a celebration of stepping beyond our knowns and into our unknowns, into mystery and into freedom and discovery.
All of these pieces are part of a series co-created with my mixed media art partner and model, Penny Treese" -Liz Stubbs
Lady Danielle (2020-01-01) by Michael WallArtPop Street Gallery
"My inspiration comes from the lovely subject which is my wife. I’m very passionate about the art I create. Constantly asking and answering new questions in terms of where I am creatively style technique likeness and how does the overall painting feel
I wanted to Finish the portrait of my wife for our 2 year anniversary (June 11th) around the same time a good friend of mine (Josh Henderson) reached out to me about artpop in Charlotte that he recently participated in And encourage me to apply since they are expanding to Atlanta. So I gave it a shot
In the end I completed what I believe to my best artwork yet of the love of my life! I also brought my first house, experienced my anniversary for the second year, and found out that I was a winner of artpopatl.
So I was able to experience all of these things magnified because of artpop. And a bonus my art work was displayed at my job on the transit buses as well as bus stops. So The reach of this art work has been tremendous." -Michael Wall
