"Change is always needed, but often we are not prepared or accepting. Are you a go with the flow person or change doesn't come easy person? Life in Flux reflects how unprepared I was for personal changes as well as how no one was ready for the events of 2020." -Molly Partyka

Ghosts and Coasts (2021-01-01) by Tim PetrinecArtPop Street Gallery

"Ghosts and Coasts - Much of Bruce's music is nostalgic. It ranges from wild and tumultuous to relaxed and somber times. This drawing is a study into extreme realism that is slightly embellished to be reflective of the miles on Bruce's life. The ghosts of his past and the Jersey shore that influenced who he became." -Tim Petrinec

Thoughts and Prayers 2 (2021-01-01) by Ashley ProctorArtPop Street Gallery

"I made this piece after hearing about the shooting at UNCC. I used an old photograph of a teacher with her class full of kids as a statement of how much school rooms have changed over the years due to gun violence. I wanted to make a statement piece that would hopefully make people understand how badly gun laws need to be changed to protect our children." -Ashley Proctor

The Reflecting Pool of Me and You (2021-01-01) by Caroline RustArtPop Street Gallery

"Regarding the process exercised within the works of art I create, as noted previously, textiles are used in metaphor. However, clothing is literally deconstructed, mounted to board as low-relief grounds, and painted upon. One symbolic aim is to illuminate vulnerability as a source of strength. To elicit this, the basis of Punk fashion design is activated through the deconstruction process.
Injury, like ripping apart garments, is followed by liberating mending acts, like patching-up details, to give clothes new life. Real models of beauty get created, based upon something damaged in which the wearer is in control. These works exhibit the way we dismantle life-experiences then piece them back together
again to harmoniously reshape ourselves, as we move closer to becoming.
This painting is the second to commemorate my bond with my late brother and our unique
communication style." -Caroline Rust

Fierce Fiona (2021-01-01) by Sara SimmonsArtPop Street Gallery

"“Fierce Fiona” was painted when I was going through a difficult time, to represent the strength of women and the strength that I found within myself. It is my hope that this piece empowers other women to find their strength as well. The piece was named for one of my best friends’ daughters, who was born when I was going through this period of time. It now watches over her crib in her nursery, and will serve as a reminder of her own strength throughout her life." -Sara Simmons

Princess Lillith von Simmons (2021-01-01) by Sara SimmonsArtPop Street Gallery

"In my piece “Princess Lillith von Simmons,” I have paired my cat Lilly, who grew up in my care as an orphaned newborn kitten, with the grandiose attire of Queen Elizabeth I. The juxtaposition of subject matter is intended to elicit a humorous response, while also paying homage to her regal disposition." -Sara Simmons

"In my piece titled “Jester Leonardo DiCatrio,” I have paired my cat Leo, who grew up in my care as an orphaned newborn kitten, with the garb of a medieval jester. This light-hearted combination is representative of Leo’s mischievous and humorous demeanor." -Sara Simmons
