Sharon Eyal & Gai Behar
Sharon Eyal (b. 1971, Jerusalem) danced with the Batsheva Dance Company between 1990 and 2008 and started choreographing within the framework of the company’s Batsheva Dancers Create project. Eyal served as Associate Artistic Director for Batsheva from 2003–04, and as a House Choreographer for the company from 2005–12. In 2005, she partnered with Gai Behar (b. 1977, Tel Aviv) – who shaped the Tel Aviv nightlife scene as party producer and curator of multidisciplinary art events from 1999–2005 – and Behar has collaborated on Eyal’s creations ever since. In 2013, Eyal and Behar launched their dance company L-E-V. Its repertoire consists of six creations that are co-produced with some of the leading dance venues around the globe.
Alongside their work with L-E-V, Eyal and Behar create commissioned pieces for external companies, including the Nederlands Dans Theater, the Royal Swedish Ballet and the Göteborgs Operans Danskompani. Their creations received several prestigious awards such as the German Theater Prize DER FAUST (2018) and the prestigious FEDORA VAN CLEEF & ARPELS Prize for Ballet 2017. Eyal and Behar frequently collaborate with major names outside of the traditional dance world. They worked on various fashion shows with Christian Dior Couture and Maria Grazia Chiuri, developed projects with the music label Young, and participated on the album I Am Easy To Find by The National and Mike Milles with Eyal dancing in the music videos for the songs Hairpin Turns and Hey Rosey, as well as performing live for the opening concert of their international tour at the L’Olympia in Paris.

About 'This Is Not A Love Show'
The series of dance performances This Is Not A Love Show presented by LAS introduced Berlin audiences to highlights from Sharon Eyal and Gai Behar’s repertoire including the Berlin premieres of tanzmainz productions Soul Chain (2018 winner of German Theatre Prize Der Faust) and Promise as well as OCD Love made for L-E-V Dance Company. Each piece was adapted to be in dialogue with the industrialist architecture of former power station Kraftwerk Berlin, now known for hosting underground music and culture since the 1991 founding of the legendary nightclub Tresor adjacent to its premises.

'Wet' – World Premiere
During their two-month residency with LAS, Eyal and Behar developed a new striking choreography incorporating music collaborations. The series culminated in the world premiere of the new commission Wet, a site-specific creation featuring live performances in three acts by musicians CURL, Koreless and Ori Lichtik.
'For me a movement is never the same. The beauty is that even when it looks the same or you think it’s the same it never is. It’s always something else.'
