St+art Delhi 2015 : Axel Void

Axel Void, Alejandro Hugo Dorda Mevs, has been strongly influenced by classical painting and drawing from an early age. He started being actively involved with street art since 1999.

For St+art Delhi, he painted in Azadpur Market, North Delhi, right next to Asia's largest fruit and vegetable market.

The wall he painted was of a building known as the Delhi Cold Storage, a massive refrigeration unit.

This piece is part of Axel's "Mediocre” series and is his interpretation of a still life - one of the most recurred themes in the history of classical painting. This piece talks about life in the biggest fruit and vegetable market in Asia.
