Conscience

do ut do is a non profit organization that raises funds through art, music, fashion, design, and culinary events. The editions through the years accrued over 150 works, which are always visible on Google Arts & Culture.

The editions of do ut do have always been accompanied by a critical reflection on fundamental themes of our time, from the 2012 edition on “Dare per dare” (To give for the sake of giving) to the 2023 edition on “Fragility”, through “La morale dei singoli” (2018) and the “Valori dell’abitare” (2016).

The last of these themes – brought to our attention – is central, philosophically and scientifically arduous, that of conscience.

However, we are convinced that such consequences must be sustainable from an ethical, social and political point of view.
Conscience is the control point of such a possibility.

CONSCIENCE is the leitmotif of the 2024 edition of do ut do, presented during Arte Fiera 2024 in Bologna in the stand curated by Mario Cucinella.

Through the language of art, do ut do once again explores the chosen theme with a project that involves artists, exhibition venues, galleries, collectors and enthusiasts who have the opportunity to represent and express their way of understanding "Conscience".

One of the pieces of the large mosaic that makes up the do ut do 2024 edition is the book "In Coscienza".

It is an anthology that collects the contributions of over 130 contemporary personalities, professionals who stand out in their respective work and social fields, who were asked to write a personal reflection on conscience.

Ambassador of do ut do 2024 is Karole Vail, director of the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice and of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation for Italy.
