To support St George is to belong to something far deeper than a weekly game of football. For generations, the Red V has been woven into family life, local streets, and shared memories. This connection - built on love, passion, loyalty, and nervous energy, has been carried forward by the people who live and breathe the club. They are known as the True Believers.

After the 2010 premiership, captain Ben Hornby captured this feeling simply:“To all the true believers, let’s celebrate it.” The words reflected a truth that had defined St George supporters for decades.

The Spirit of the Red V was forged during the club’s golden era of the 1950s and 60s, when St George achieved an extraordinary 11 consecutive premierships.

A red-covered exercise book of witty Rugby League gags, featuring a coloured illustration of Craig Young. The final page bears a note from his devoted “True Believers”: “With lots of love, yours Peter and Peggy Harrison, 29/9/1985.”
