At the UAE Pavilion, we share glimpses into how our ancestors thrived in this challenging environment, and introduce you to our early Dreamers who strove to unify seven Emirates and build the modern nation you see today. We also introduce you to our Dreamers of today who lead us as we develop our diversified economy and thriving culture.

About the architect
The UAE Pavilion is designed by world-renowned architect Santiago Calatrava, from Valencia, Spain. Dr. Calatrava and his team designed the outside shell, while the interior and oasis were designed by UAE based and international creative partners.

There are 28 large mobile wings that transform the building form: when open, they reveal a surface of photovoltaic panels, harnessing energy from the sun.
