The planning necessarily had to meet the Action Plan of the Group's School Cultural Project (PCE) “Germinar”, which is part of the National Arts Plan (PNA) as part of the “Indisciplinar a Escola” Programme.
Arcozelo's cultural and heritage landscape, moulded by its relationship with the territory, is made up of the interaction between its rural and coastal dimensions. Utilising a network of partnerships, various events were planned, both within and outside the school, aimed at strengthening the institution's cultural identity, and taking into account its territorial, social, artistic and heritage context.

The special status of “A Rusga de Arcozelo” Folklore Group, due to its proximity to the school premises, and its inclusion as a partner of the PCE, elevates the role of the school as a privileged territory for understanding heritage as a bond.

The virtual exhibition “Drawing the Heritage Landscape of Arcozelo” is one of the results of the project and serves as a way of celebrating the commitment and dedication of the students involved.
The project took place in a pre-school class, 5th and 6th grade of the 2nd Cycle of Basic Education. The set of strategies defined for the work always took into account the flexible nature of the teaching space and the motivation of the working group. In line with, but challenging, the curriculum, three phases were planned for the project: going out to the local context, making the pictures and superimposing the images.

Recognising the growing need to preserve the waterfront's natural and human heritage, we want to strengthen the links already established between children and these areas.

Our motto is that “urgent change (...) based on new values and principles that enable individual and community action [contributes] to building a more sustainable society” (National Arts Plan).
Arcozelo has an extensive natural heritage, rural and coastal, land and sea. Its existence must be linked to the demographic and economic development of the parish, for which we have a shared responsibility.
