Women for Expo: Female Empowerment

Togo, Savanes Region, the project combines the development of the agricultural sector with local female entrepreneurism, affirming the right to food. After 3 years, it has promoted 5 cooperatives.

The project focuses on improving quality of life and on social innovation and was set up to facilitate access to food by empowering 100 women who inspire the Groupement des Femmes de Bandessar.

To be a woman in Nepal is still a big challenge.
The project aims at improving the living conditions of 600 women who are discriminated to get back their dignity thanks to potato farming.

The project has contributed to social and economic empowerment of 63 destitute women of Bahir Dar (Ethiopia), making them independent and able to generate profit for their families.

The project consists in the supply of a mill and of a system for carrying the water. The women acquired entrepreneurial autonomy and economic independence by financially managing the mill.

The project, carried out in Batticaloa district of the North East of Sri Lanka, has allowed 35 women, widows and former child soldiers, to acquire work skills and to start entrepreneurship activities.

The national network of the Unique Committees of Guarantee for equal opportunities aims at increasing equality and opportunity policies, enforcing organizational welfare and fighting discrimination.

The National Council of Engineers is promoting a project to highlight the role of women working in contemporary society, especially in the technical and scientific fields, historically male-dominated.
