Cracovia Danza Court Ballet, founded by dancer and choreographer Romana Agnel, is Poland’s only professional ballet that specializes in Baroque and Old Polish dances. The ballet has been a Municipal Institution of Culture since 2006. The group’s repertoire is inspired by, among others, dance masters' treatises as well as old iconographic sources, and spans the periods from the Middle Ages to modern times.

The Ballet participates in many prestigious events and has performed on the stages of, among others, the Teatr Wielki - Polish National Opera in Warsaw, the Warsaw Chamber Opera, the ICE Congress Centre, the National Forum of Music, Teatro di Villa Torlonia in Rome and the Margravial Opera House in Bayreuth, Germany. The group often visits numerous Polish philharmonics, the royal castles at the Wawel Hill, in Warsaw and in Niepołomice, as well as the palaces in Wilanów or Białystok. Cracovia Danza also promotes the Polish culture abroad. It has visited close to 30 countries, including Morocco, France, Russia, Germany, China, Japan and Korea. They are engaged in educational activities, too, by running numerous workshops and lectures.

The ballet organizes a number of its signature events, the most spectacular of which is the international Court Dance Festival held at the turn of July since the year 2000. Within the festival, workshops, presentations, concerts, exhibitions, lectures and large open-air performances in Krakow’s historical spots are held.
