Ise City
Ise City, Mie Prefecture, Japan

Ise City, in a relatively temperate climate, is located at the southern tip of the Ise Plains which occupy the central east of Mie Prefecture.
The city has a wealth of natural assets as Ise Bay which lies to the north; Miya River, Isuzu River and Seta River which flow through the center; Mt. Asama, Mt Kamiji, Mt. Mae and Mt. Shurei which extend in the east to the south; Daibutsu-yama hill which spreads in the west.
While blessed with beautiful nature and a variety of food as the gateway to Ise-Shima National Park, Ise City also holds a wealth of attractive local assets including a number of historical and cultural sites.
In addition, Ise has long thrived as a pilgrimage town, because it is home to Ise Jingu, popularly referred to as “Oise-san” and “the spiritual home of the Japanese people.”
