Regional museum Ptuj-Ormož is one of the biggest and most visited Slovenian museums responsible for the preservation of cultural heritage in the Lower Podravje area. Various departments and collections are dedicated to archaeology, ethnology, cultural history and history; besides, the museum comprises exhibition grounds, restoration workshops and a library. Its beginnings go back to 1893. Nowadays, collections can be seen at different sites and visited in a company of experts either in Slovene or in foreign languages.
