Guerrero's best known culinary tradition
This dish is the emblem of Casa Tixtla. Pozole (soup) is a pre-Hispanic food that is mixed with Spanish culture and established itself among the population in the community as party food. Guerrero has a special type of pozole, famous for its green mole.

Every day is Thursday
Every Thursday in Guerrero the famous green pozole is prepared, but at Casa Tixtla you can enjoy it every day. All the original ingredients are brought from Tixtla so that the customer feels as if they are in Acapulco, Iguala or Chilpancingo.

The house specialty
The Guerrero pozole is traditionally prepared with cacahuxintle corn, lean pork, pork or chicken head and a green mole with a base of pumpkin seeds, radish stalk, onion, garlic and is cooked with herbs like thyme and laurel.
Pozole is always accompanied by something
The Guerrero pozole is always accompanied by a traditional appetizer consisting of fresh cheese, tostadas (toasted tortillas), avocado, chicharrón (pork crackling) and sardines. This is added to the pozole with the classic oregano and ground toasted piquín chili. The final touch is a good mezcal from the southern Mexico area.
Tostadas (toasted tortillas), chili powder and tequila are essentials to accompany the food
Traditions more than alive
Every day you can enjoy a delicious green pozole (soup), however, to commemorate soup Thursdays Casa Tixtla offers 2x1. There is no excuse not to invite a loved one to enjoy a great meal.
