Tomorrow's Warriors is the brainchild of husband-and-wife duo, Janine Irons MBE, FRSA and Gary Crosby OBE, Hon FTL. The pair aimed to provide professional guidance and support to young talented musicians who face barriers to progress within the music industry. Tomorrow Warriors make opportunities for participation, ownership and leadership in music and the arts available to all.

At its heart Tomorrow’s Warriors are focused on cultivating the next generation of jazz musicians and spearheading the development of the British Jazz scene.

The programme itself has produced several notable names in contemporary British music including Moses Boyd, Sons of Kemet, Eska Mtungwazi, Zara McFarlane, Theon Cross, Nubya Garcia, and Ezra Collective.


For the #IAMWARRIOR project, Tomorrow’s Warriors commissioned twelve pieces of work  over two years from their alumni, which  premiered at their annual #IAMWARRIOR shows at The Jazz Cafe.

The founder’s enthusiasm and love for Jazz over the last 30 years has granted the opportunity to spotlight their programme’s participants and the British Jazz scene more widely across national media.
