Gori Village
Gori village is a small settlement in Nagarparkar, Sindh, famous for its ancient Jain temples. Dating back to the 15th century, these temples are important religious and architectural sites with intricate artwork.

The locals of Gori village are a close-knit community, following a simple lifestyle built around the resources provided to them by the Tharparkar desert. Farming, livestock rearing, and handiwork are some of the main local occupations.

Curry (Kari)
A delicious spicy dish of poultry, lentils, and spices.
Spices including red chili powder, cumin, and dried chilis are crushed by hand and added to the Kari for flavor.

Millet Flatbread (Bajray ki Roti)
Millet is a staple crop in the region of Nagarparkar, seasonally grown in winter.
Bajray ki Roti is prepared as a warm flatbread to be eaten alongside savory dishes. The millet flour is kneaded into a circular shape with water and heated and cooked on a griddle.

Sesame (Til)
Roasted sesame seeds are regularly enjoyed as another crunchy winter delicacy in Pakistani villages.
Sesame seeds are first extracted from the plant and then cooked on medium heat in a pot, sweetened with sugar.
